Who should I contact if I have questions regarding our policy with Atradius?

What is an underwriter?

The term originates from 1600s England, where bankers physically signed with their name as a guarantee for the cargo on the large sailing ships.  

In English: To "write underneath" or "under-write". 

Underwriting is when a company takes on a financial risk and pays compensation in the event of financial loss (an injury).

The underwriter analyzes a risk and decides whether to accept it on reasonable terms.

Automated underwriting decisions can be used to offer quick responses.
